  Am I doing you a favor? My hope is that you will see that I am not of the opinion that anyone needs to believe what I do about the significance of 607 BC. The only thing that one must believe is that Jehovah is the true God and that, by their exercising faith in the blood of his son, Jesus Christ, they will realize the benefits of his ransom sacrifice, namely, everlasting life. However, my faith has been greatly strengthened by the things I have come to learn from Jehovah's Witnesses as to the significance of 607 BC as it relates to when the "seven times" of Daniel 4:25 began.

  If it were that simple, defending 607 and 1914 as well as the selection of the WT a few years later as thee chosen organisation out of all other denominations wouldn't be necessary. You yourself stated, that recognizing Jehovah as the true God, and that by exercising faith in his son's sacrafice leads to everlasting life, then why are you even pontificating in favor or 607? If what I bolded out of your statement is true, or if you really believe its a simple as what I bolded, then all of your wordy responses and assertions were simply a waste of posting space on your part and the lurker's you claim to be concerned about.

  I wonder if her elder body got wind of her activity on here, and counseled her? She's leaving around the same time that it surfaced again what area she's located at. At one point she even called me a tattle tale. It's just seems to be more than coincidental that she's leaving this forum after this latest "outing."

  Why are Pantsuits not appropriate according to The Watchtower?

  why do the jws consider pansuits worm by women not appropriate attire?.

  pantsuits are considered appropriate attire in the conservative business world.. secretary of state hilary clinton wears pantsuits quite often.. would pantsuits be considered appropriate for a visit to bethel?

  if someone showed up at bethel wearing them, would be be asked to leave?.

  Strange, I work in a corporate setting, and all the female big wigs wear pant suits often enough. The head of the company I work for is a woman, and I don't recall ever seeing her in a skirt. She's probably one of the most powerful people in this city. There's also multiple professional men that I see here who have neatly trimmed beards including a couple who work for a law firm several floors down from my floor.

  To me the whole WT being anti-pants on women is a reflection of the sheltered atmosphere that seems to be prevalent in Bethel. These are the same men who would suffer an anxiety attack if they would ever have to cook for themselves and wash their own clothes. The same men who think a college education automatically means a person has ambitions on being rich and the Beatniks and Black Panthers are still raging against the machine right on campus, and the bra burners are getting ready to declare civil war over their right to menstruate in public. I wouldn't be surprised if a vote was done by the Governing Body about whether or not Sam Herd and JR Brown have tails and the vote barely getting a 2/3 majority.

  Does the Governing Body (or past presidents) members have (or had to) have body guards?

  was watching a biography on the history channel about presidental securities and secrets, how the president is guarded just in case of an attack, an assaination attempt, etc.

  it got me to thinking about if any of the past or current gb members (or wt presidents) have ever had any death threats?

  do they have a specific plan for a gb member when they visit a city or country?

  Hey Gary, welcome to the forum. I imagine you have some stories to tell, and we'd all love to hear them. Glad you're here.

  I seem to recall there being an individual mention by Ray Franz, who was always with Fred Franz? A Jewish fellow, who was not a JW, but Franz kept this guy close. He served sort of a bodyguard role, and interpretation role if my memory serves me correct? I thought I read something about not being able to even see Fred Franz, without having to go through this guy first, but I cant recall?

  Hey Miz, how about saying, "Nice to meet you, my brother..(or sister)!"?

  You talk to them every day on this board, so it shouldn't be any different with someone at the door.

  Oh C'mon!!! Have you two been out that long, that you've forgotten what its like to be in? When I posted that, I was speaking from the perspective of someone who has two feet very very much in this religion still. Have you two forgotton what its like to be out in service as a JW? As a JW who believes they, and only they have the truth? A JW not in expectation of any of the householders being familiar with their Bible? Now imagine coming across an apostate? The horror!!!! That's why I say, I wouldn't have, and most JWs wouldn't have any clue of what to say to a DF'd apostate. It'd be one thing if I was by myself, and came across an apostate, I'd probably let them know that I'm on the same page as they are. On the other hand, if another person was with me, then I'd have to give an emmy winning performance. Yeah, some might consider me phony, or hypocritical, but to be honest with you, they're not in my shoes, and I don't give f#$ what they think at that point. I've family and friends to consider, and I'm not prepared to brush them off just yet.

  every stages of a boy's life are depicted: from a child to an old man...if the wt is so sure that the end is just around the corner, why are they leading the public to believe that today's children may mature and grow old?

  are they now telling us that there is a possibility that young children alive today may grow old?

  in 69 they told us that this wouldn't happen to us....
